The old hand-moulded Paepe brick dates from the early 1820s to 1890. These are very small bricks, one third of the size of the large version and the stone owes its name to this special format. The clay was placed in a wooden mould and pushed by hand and as a result, the brick has a whimsical shape and a beautiful grain. The antiquity of this brick can be seen in its unique character and appearance so by reclaiming this brick you get a beautiful colour palette of red-rose orange with some dark and white bricks in between. These bricks have a wealth of history.
